.NET

Is a software platform developed by Microsoft for the development and execution of application programs. . NET is available on various platforms, and supports the use of different programming languages, such as C #. For the development of. NET programs Microsoft distributes the Visual Studio development environment.


ABAP Objects

Is the object-oriented extension of the ABAP programming language, a programming language, the software company SAP, which was developed for programming applications in the SAP environment. Originally an acronym for “General report preparation processor”, since this language only customer-specific evaluations were programmed. In the course of further development of the language, the abbreviation now stands for “Advanced Business Application Programming.” It implements all elements of object-oriented programming (OOP) with the exception of multiple inheritance and method overloading. ABAP Objects is available as of SAP Release 4.6 and restricts the language range of “classic” ABAP in some respects a. For example, internal tables with header lines in the context of ABAP Objects are no longer allowed.


Web Dynpro for ABAP (WD4A, ABAP WebDynpro)

Is a technology for building web-based applications based on the SAP NetWeaver strategy using the ABAP programming language.


Application Link Enabling (ALE)

Is a middleware technology for synchronizing data across SAP systems using IDocs. It is not tied to a specific SAP module or a particular type of system, and even the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) for communication purposes via ALE. Important concepts in the context are distribution model, message type, and filter field conversions.


Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

SAP CRM combines the marketing, sales and service processes together in one system. This allows centralised coordination of cross-department, customer orientated activities.


Enhancement Package (EHP)

Previously, aside from in-house development, SAP Business Suite applications could only be enhanced through an upgrade. Using SAP EHPs it is now possible for IT management to shorten the intervals between the introduction of improvements. The packages are released in a roughly biannual cycle and compliment the quarterly delivery of support packages as well as the In-Advance releases. This allows new requirements from the departments to be fulfilled more quickly.


Employee Self Services / Management Self Service (ESS / MSS)

ESS provides your employees with the ability to independently enter, display and evaluate their own SAP HCM data. Supervisors are supported by MSS in carrying out personnel management and administration. Accessing your own data and personnel management processes via an employee portal or intranet  simplifies, accelerates and unifies the personnel administration procedures.


Human Capital Management (HCM)

In economics human capital is understood as the individual knowledge of the employee. In the context of SAP ERP in can be subdivided into the following modules: Personnel management (PM), Recruitment (PA),  Personnel Time Management (PT),  Payroll (PY),  Personnel Development (PD), Training and Event Management (PE), Cost Planning (CP)


Intermediate Document (IDoc)

Is a container for transferring exchanging data between SAP R/3, R/2 and non-SAP systems.


Organisations management (OM)

SAP OM allows you to create, evaluate, plan and manage the correct organisational structure for your business. It creates the basis for the integration of numerous other components and increases the usage and efficiency of your SAP system.


Payroll (PY)

PY  encompasses the determination of gross salary and net calculation as far as the payable amount. The basis for the calculations are in particular the personnel master data, the results of the personnel time management (PT) and the travel expenses (TV).  PY is organised into sub-processes: gross payroll, net calculation and subsequent processing.


Personnel Administration (PA)

The Personnel Administration is the heart of human resource management. Here the HR master data and organizational structures are managed and made available in reports. Thus, the Personnel Administration is also the basis for all other Areas.


Employee Interaction Center (EIC)

The Employee Interaction Center (EIC) combined service center and help desk technology and thus enables HR managers to make their contacts with employees more efficient and to do it in better quality. HR managers use the EIC as a central point of contact for their contacts with employees.


SharePoint

With SharePoint 2010 product family, Microsoft offers a very wide range of applications that can contribute to increasing the productivity of a company – From web-based collaboration on enterprise content management (ECM) to Business Intelligence (BI).


Web-UI

Interface to a system that can be accessed via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). This is a graphical user interface through which a user using a web browser on the system can interact or a web service through which the system other systems, data or functions available.
